At age 21 Giovanni Battaglin astonished the world with a 3rd place finish in the Giro D’Italia. He went on to have a solid 11-year career, retiring to start his own Bicycle business. Starting to look for an Italian frame of some pedigree I came across a Battaglin frame on craigslist. I didn’t get it, but something inside me caught fire for these bikes and I ended up getting an entry level bike on ebay. My thirst for a genuine racing Battaglin hasn’t yet been satiated.
